Kristie,

There are lots of things that people can do to help. The reason that this is such a overwhelming mission is that not NEARLY enough people are willing to step up and help rescue. There are MANY MANY more people who do not get their pets spayed/neutered then the dogs get pregnant and do not plan for this to happen. All of a sudden they have no one or two dogs to feed but as many as ten or more. They give as many puppies as they can away (do not have these pups fixed first) and then take the left overs to the local high kill county run dog pounds/shelters. The pups they give away in turn have litters of puppies in less than a year and the original mommy dog has a new litter in about 8 months and it cycle grows. Many more dogs end of at the shelter from that one original dog.

UNLESS we adopt serious spay/neuter laws in the south the desperate need for rescue will continue. If you are wanting to help . Here is my email address I do not see your. Please send me a email and I will offer some suggestions if this is really something you want to help with.

Thanks and God bless

Donna dfower7@carolina.rr.com

Hello, our black and white cat has been missing since Oct 1, 2011. He is black with white feet and neck. He is 8 years old and pretty heavy. His name is SOX and we also call him soxie. He was last seen at our house at 3212 Blackburn Dr in Waxhaw Quellin neighborhood. It is near Kensington Elementary and the waste managment building. Thank you for any help!! It was a pleaure to meet you yesterday Donna. I'll help out by taking care of the social media via Facebook and Twitter (local) to help some of these pups get adopted.

Thanks so much and let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Donna
